ECCO Tour is proud to present this year’s Winter Series with a record breaking prize fund of no less than 110.000 Euro.

– I am very happy with this year’s Winter Series. We have managed to maintain the entry fee, while increasing the prize fund massively, ECCO Tour owner Flemming Astrup explains.

– So a very big thank you must go out to ECCO, Mediter Real Estate and La Manga Club who have backed us in our effort to make this year’s series the largest so far.

The prize fund of 110.000 euro is an impressive 30.000 more than last season, where both tournaments had a 40.000 euro breakdown. This year the money breakdown differs between the two tournaments.

Winter Series bigger and more important than ever
In the first tournament the Prize fund is 50.000 euro, while the second tournament holds an impressive 60.000 euro purse, making them two of the biggest and most important tournaments on the 2014 Nordic Golf League Calendar.

With first prizes of 9.000 euro and 10.800 euro, it is likely that the ECCO Tour Nordic Golf League Winter Series in 2014 will play a very important role in deciding, who will top the Nordic Golf League Ranking later that year.

– Very often we see the players who do well at the ECCO Tour Winter Series will finish in the top-5 and thereby qualify for the Challenge Tour. And with the increase in Prize Money this year, I would say, that the Winter Series is more important than ever, for those who have ambitions of finishing high on the Golfbox Nordic Golf League Ranking in 2014, states Flemming Astrup.
