Time to register for Q-Schools
It’s time to register for Nordic Golf League Q-School both 1st and Final Stage. Here you find an overview of who has to play 1st stage, and who is exempt for Final Stage.
Please be aware that prior to the NGL Q-School, the NGL Ranking has been cleared of those who do not fulfill the 7 events rule and the 3 different countries rule. That leaves a cleaned list, which you can find here.
What is your situation?
There are two cut off points
- After Danæg PGA Championship (September 19th)
- After Race to Himmerland (October 3rd)
Outside top 108 on the cleaned ranking after Danæg PGA Championship
- You MUST play 1st stage at Q-School
- All players participating in 1 st stage DENMARK will get a Category 14 on the ECCO Tour 2016
- Players without any 2016 category and NOT participating in the 1 st stage DENMARK Nordic Golf League Q-School will be denied starts on the ECCO Tour 2016*.
- Wild cards for hosting clubs and sponsor invites do not apply to this rule – One player receive a maximum of two invites
- *Made in Denmark Qualifier will be open to all players

- You can read more about the changes on the ECCO Tour, which means that you will not be able to play ECCO Tour events in 2016, unless you play 1st stage Q-School Denmark here.
Top 71 – 108 after Danæg PGA Championship:
- You do not have a category for 2016
- You MUST play Q-School
- You are directly qualified for the NGL Q-School Final Stage. Remember to sign up.
From 51 – 70 after Race to Himmerland:
- You get a category 8a for next year.
- You can improve your category at the Q-School to a category 6
- You are directly qualified for the NGL Q-School Final Stage. Remember to sign up if you wish to play.
From 1 – 50 after Race to Himmerland
- Congratulations! No Q-School for you.
- You minimum have a category 5a for next year.
Not Exempt and not registered for Q-School yet?
If you are not exempt or have not yet signed up for the Qualifier, there are still available spots at the Q-School in Denmark, prior to the Final Stage. Both 1st Stage Denmark and Final Stage will be played at Skjoldenæsholm Golf Center between 5 – 10 October.
Final Stage information
The Final Stage will be played over three days (18+18+18 holes), with cut after 36 holes for the leading 50 players + ties, on 8-10 of October at Skjoldenæsholm Golf Center in Denmark.
Entry fee
- Players qualified from the first stage do not have to pay an additional entry fee.
- For players that were exempt from the first stage the entry fee is € 300.
Categories for 2016 at Final Stage
Players in the final stage are competing for categories on the 2016 Nordic Golf League. At the conclusion of the Qualifying School Final Stage all players will be ranked according to score.
- The leading 25 players (and those players tied on that score) will earn category 6 (or corresponding).
- Players making the cut and finishing beyond 25th place will earn category 9 (or corresponding).
- Players who fail to make the cut will earn category 12 (or corresponding).
- Ties within a category will be differentiated according to the mathematical method.
Prize fund
- There is a prize fund of 10.000 Euros that is divided between the top 10 professionals.
