Here are the rules for FREJA Final Series 2018. Please note that the ranking is cleared only before the last 2 events.

Dear players

There has been a little confusion as to the changes made in FREJA Final Series and to the categories (Q-School related). Therefore, please read the following to understand your situation.

Who can play FREJA Final Series?
All players are eligible to play tournament 1 & 2 (Harboe Open & Ekerum Öland Masters). To be eligible for tournament 3 & 4 in the Final Series, a player must have played a minimum of 7 events in three of the Nordic countries (DK-FI-NO-SE).

FREJA Final Series 2018
FREJA Final Series consists of the final four tournaments of the season and will be the Nordic Golf League Playoff. All spots in the field will be selected based on GolfBox Nordic Golf League Ranking, no wild cards will be allowed in tournament 3 and 4.

FREJA Final Series Order of Merit will include results from only the FREJA Final Series. The leading professional player after the final tournament will receive a premium watch worth around 10.000 Euro.

Overview of FREJA Final Series

Tournament 1 – Harboe Open, Trelleborg Golfklub Slagelse, Denmark from September 19 – 21

  • 132 players (12 hosting tour invites and top 120 players available from GolfBox Nordic Golf League Ranking 2018 as after Tinderbox Charity Challenge)
  • Cut for 45 professionals + ties
  • THERE ARE STILL OPEN SPOTS

Tournament 2 – Ekerum Öland Masters, Ekerum Golf & Spa Resort, Sweden, from September 25 – 27

  • 132 players (12 Hosting Tour invites and top 120 players available from GolfBox Nordic Golf League Ranking 2018 as after Harboe Open)
  • Cut for 45 professionals + ties

Tournament 3 – Race to Himmerland, Himmerland Golf & Spa Resort, Denmark from October 5 – 7

  • 78 players within top 100 on the CLEANED Nordic League Ranking 2018 as after Ekerum Öland Masters.
  • Cut for 30 professionals + ties

Tournament 4 – Tour Final, Barsebäck GCC, Sweden from October 11 – 13

  • 50 players within top 55 on the CLEANED Nordic Golf League Ranking 2018 as after Race to Himmerland.
  • No Cut

 

Q-School situation and Categories
Players outside Top 100 on the CLEANED Nordic League Ranking 2018 as after Ekerum Öland Masters MUST play 1st stage Q-School. If 1st stage q-school in their own country has already taken place, the last 1st stage of the season is played at Rømø two days prior to the Final Stage.

Players from 56 – 100 on the CLEANED Nordic League Ranking 2018 as after Race to Himmerland are excempt for Q-School Final Stage.

Who should play Q-School?

  • Players from 56 – 75 on the CLEANED Nordic League Ranking 2018 as after Race to Himmerland receive a category 8a for 2019. They CAN play Final Stage and improve their category for the 2019
  • Players from 76 – 100 MUST play Final Stage to have any category in 2019. 
  • Players who fail to complete 7 events in 3 Nordic countries are without a category and must play 1st stage.
